Business & Organizational Leadership Experience

Stella is currently partnering with a number of CEO's , GM's, Business Owners and Innovators to expand their success and financial freedom by growing their businesses and manifesting their dreams related to financial freedom. She facilitates group meetings as well as 1:1 coaching sessions on a regular basis.

Previously, Stella  served for a year as Vistage Chair, leading a group of CEO’s and Business Owners to grow their businesses at a faster pace; carve time for them to dedicate to personal endeavors and enhancing deeper relationships with the people they care about. 

Stella also served as Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition for Jacobs, global engineering and construction company with over 65,000 employees. In this role, she was responsible for building and managing all worldwide recruitment activity. Stella increased the number of hires year over year by 15-20%,  significantly enhancing ROI by reducing cost per hire by 15-20%, primarily through direct sourcing of critical passive candidates, and strategic management of talent resources.  During her tenure she introduced a number of strategic talent sourcing initiatives, including social media tools, which significantly increased Jacobs’ global brand recognition. 

Prior to Jacobs, Stella served as the Global Head of Talent Management and Resourcing for National Grid (NG), a British Utilities Company operating in the UK and the Northeast USA. Stella directed end-to-end activities related to talent management, workforce planning and resourcing.  Her efforts led to proactive management of talent pools in anticipation of 2 significant changes:  progressive volume of retirements (over 40% in some functional areas) and diminishing engineering pools in USA and UK. She aligned talent supply and demand and coached Executive Leadership to consistently calibrate and improve talent bench-strength. 

At  Avery Dennison Stella held 2 critical roles for over 6 years, VP Global Talent Management and HR VP covering 4 sites in the USA and Latin America Region. Stella also oversaw inclusion and diversity initiatives for all USA sites. In her Talent Management role, for the first time, Avery was recognized in 2003 by Hewitt Consulting as one of the top 20 best in class in Talent Management; advancing in 2004 to the top 10, in a list that included world class companies such as Johnson & Johnson. She designed and implemented leadership development programs for future General Managers covering high potentials from Europe, Asia, Latin America and USA resulting in a significant increase of both promotions and diversity of the leadership team. In addition, in partnership with PDI, Stella successfully introduced assessment of the top 500 leaders resulting in their accelerated readiness for larger, diverse and complex roles.

Prior to Avery, Stella held related roles at major global organizations.  The focus of her experience has consistently been in Talent Management; Leadership Assessment, Coaching and Development; Organizational Change/Restructuring and De-layering; and Strategic Workforce Planning.  Stella initiated her career in consulting and human resources management at Deloitte and Touche and Andersen Consulting. During this time she provided services in the areas of leadership and management development for companies in IT industry, worked on the integration of merged Oil companies, and developed executive workshops for general managers and CEO’s of client companies.

Stella received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Catholic University Andres Bello (UCAB) in Venezuela and a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Psychology from Oxford University in England. She is also a certified  trainer in a number of management topics.  She is a former Board Member of Leadership California and  member of the Oxford and Cambridge University Club.   

She resides in SoCal.
